Welcome to the Waitākere BMX Club
We are a volunteer-run sporting group that meet on a weekly basis to ride and race BMX bikes. We have a strong focus on creating a fun and friendly environment for all participants and believe we have one of the most accessible and welcoming sports around.

RACING SEASON - Club Nights Start Friday 02/09/22
We hold or club nights on Friday nights from late September early October through till the end of April every year. (We generally follow daylight savings schedule. BMX racing is a seasonal sport and does not happen during the winter.
Unfortunately, we do not run club nights during the winter months. If possible we will run gates during the weekends, weather dependent, details will be advertised on our facebook page.
TRACK OPEN
If the track is wet or soft please do not ride it as it can cause considerable damage to the surface with rutting and tire marks. A good guide is if you can leave a footprint or tire print on the surface it is too soft to ride.
If you're looking to give BMX a go, all you need is a bike in good working condition, a full-face helmet, long pants, long sleeved top and some gloves. On club nights we have a range of full-face helmets and bikes for hire for you to try out the sport prior to purchasing your own gear. We offer you your first three club nights for FREE to give it a go!
